Browser problems for Mac products incl IPad

Is anyone else having issues finding a browser that will work with the ancestry.com site and app.
I know that Firefox works best with ancestry.com on my MAC. Safari did not work as I was repeat.y logged out and asked to log in again nd again.
There is no Firefox for iPad 2 and ancestry.com logs me out repeatedly using Safari.
I have researched online and iCab and Atomic browsers do the same thing.
I have the ancestry app but when you want to do searches you have to go to the actual website and I am getting very frustrated logging in over and over again.
Does anyone have similar experiences and has anyone found a browser that works well?

Similar experiences on my iPad (original version). I've tried Safari and iCab mobile but both keep logging me out. The Ancestry app seems to work ok but it doesn't have enough functionality to be the exclusive program while working on my iPad.

I called them yesterday and spoke to a very nice young man who said he is going to put in a detailed report about the issues. I told him that I had been researching the issue and have found that some people are getting exasperated that Ancestry.com is not fully supporting Apple products.
He did not have a resolution but said hopefully the developers will soon. It seems we are not the only ones with these logging out issues and supposedly many people have called Ancestry about it. Hopefully a fix will not be a long time coming.

I submitted a ticket on this a year ago and was told repeatedly that even though the iPad app links to Safari for searches, they do not support Safari as a browser. Explaining to them that Safari is the ONLY browser engine allowed on the iPad did not budge them. Really bad customer experience.

Agree, the Chrome browser seems to work well with Ancestry.com. I can also share a good customer service experience from all this as well.

I contacted Ancestry's support team about the issue I was having on my tablet: repeatedly logging out of ancestry.com accessed on original iPad using Safari as well as using another browser called icab mobile. The support person told me what others have reported, that Ancestry doesn't support safari. He recommended using the Ancestry app and also suggested downloading Google's "Chrome" browser for internet searches.

I must say, Chrome has worked consistently well for me in the weeks since my call to customer service. If only I could get the Ancestry app to call up Chrome now, instead of Safari, when internet searches are needed. Other than that the logging out issue is resolved for me. I'm a happy customer!

Ive just recently started having issues with mobile aneroid devices in the tree mode. Incantation no longer navigate hoof down inthat mode.Works fine elsewhere in the site. Also very frustrating as aneroid app is not cutting it for me.

I previously had similar problems on my iPhone and was told the same thing - that Safari was not supported. I continued to use it on my iPhone anyhow, logging in over and over again. Now suddenly everything is working properly and I'm not sure why. To fix some other problem support told me to delete my mobile tree and reload it. I don't know of this fixed the login problem or if Ancestry finally found the problem on their side.

I think Ancestry finally fixed everything as I can go on either Safari or Chrome on my IPad and I have no issues now.

That is great news if they have fixed the website to work with Safari on the iPad without constantly being logged out. I have been using Chrome for several months based on a suggestion in this thread - it has kept me logged in the entire time; today after the latest Chrome update it doesn't want to work with Ancestry (logging in sends me straight to the signup page). Guess I will be switching back to Safari.
