The WELCH family that I am researching in Onondaga and Cayuga counties emigrated to US around 1846-50, as famine immigrants, most likely from County Tipperary, perhaps the LImerick area. Does not sound like a match right now. Good luck in your searching.

My ggrandfather was Frank Elisha Rowe who...we think...according to a marriage license...was born in Syracuse, New York in abt 1865...Any relation to your George E. Rowe? perhaps a brother? Frank was married in 1891 in Spencer,Iowa...was a railroad man and evidently didn't stay in Syracuse or go back during his life...lived mostly in Arkansas and SW Missouri..

I don't have any additional information on the Rowe family. In fact, I have to make a correction: George E Rowe had a son, Charles, who married Nora Welch. If I find out anything more, I'll post it! Good luck, Karen

My Grandfather was also Frank E Rowe m. Ida M Greenslit. He was Rex Henry Rowe. Brother to Lee, Bryon,etc.
