Is this in the the Carver's Bay area? Also known as Collin Township and Choppee?

I have a map land plat of Carver's It shows the relation between Cribbs, Rowe and Moore. I am not sure you know that a Louisa Owens married Jame "Jim" Rowe and it is their children on this map. Alfred C. Skipper married their daughter Sarah Elizabeth Rowe. She was first married to John E. Hunt.

Thanks, Allen. Yes, this is in the Carvers Bay/Pleasant Hill area. I have seen the Rowe and Moore names frequently, but I don't believe they are in my direct line. Is the plat you have available online?

BTW my line sold his land next to his mother Sarah Elizabeth Rowe who married Alfred C. Skipper.

One person is William H Rowe other is a Munnerlyn. I really need to get updated copies of the land sale.

Last thing all the Rowe are children of Jame Rowe and Louisa Owens. The Moore line is mine also as Sikey (Psyche) Drucilla Moore married Benjamin Thomas Wilson. Their daughter Sallie Clifton Wilson married John Enos Hunt. John is son of John Enias Hunt and Sarah Elizabeth Rowe. John Enias Hunt died in 1869 and remarried Alfred C. Skipper.

Thanks much for the land plat file. Is the Louisa Owens you mentioned the daughter of Ezekial Owens (1797 to 1850) and Nancy Ann Moore (1811 to ?) and born abt 1828? If so, she is in my maternal line, sister to my direct ancestor John Owens (1833 to 1919, served in Co A, 21st SC in the Civil War). Interesting how these families have intermarried over the years, isn't it?

John Enias Hunt b1839 Marlboro County, d 1869 Georgetown County also served in the 21st Company A, SC Infantry.

I bought a book called Darkes Hours: South Carolina Civil War. Basically it has all soldier from SC listed and where they had been.

I've found that most of the men in Co. A, 21st SC were related to or were neighbors of my ancestor. It brings home what a drain on the community the war was! You didn't respond to my question....Is the Louisa Owens you mentioned the daughter of Ezekial Owens (1797 to 1850) and Nancy Ann Moore (1811 to ?) and born abt 1828? Thanks!

Allen, thanks much for the info. It filled in some for me. Do you already have Louisa's ancestral line past her parents? Pilar Owens b. abt 1780 m. Eleanor (Nelly); Ezekial Elijah Owens b. abt 1760 d. 10-5-1853 and a veteran of the revolutionary war. That's as far as I've gotten so far with the Owens line. Are you related to the Cribbs? I have some info on them.

I am descendant of the Hunts. They came from Marlboro County area. I very much believe it is the Hunt's Bluff area per Land Plat and modern map. The Old River road appear to run through the land and the land butt up against the Great Pee Dee River.

It is said Creswell Hunt is buried at Hunt's Bluff. I don't think anyone seen it in last 60 yrs. Least that my impression from document. Also John Enias Hunt supposely buried in Hucksfield Cemetery yet noone has documented his grave there. So I assume it is unmarked.

I live in California a lot of the visual inspection is hard for me to do. =)

I keep swearing I am moving east!

As for Cribb I believe some of the either Moore or Rowe may have married Cribb. John Enos Hunt b 1868 married Sallie Clifton Wilson. Her parent is Benjamin Thomas Wilson and Sikey (Psyche) Drucilla Moore.

Sarah Elizabeth Rowe and Sikey Drucilla Moore where childhood neighbors in one of the Census.
