I am documenting the Civil War soldiers of Sevier County. If you have an ancestor who war in the Civil War and at one time lived in Sevier County, please let me know who they are. So far I have documented 550 men who served, but some may have been over-looked if they left Sevier County.

My ggg-grandfather was in that war. Dr. James Cozby . When Colonel Seivier was aressted for treason, Cozby was leader of the group that went to his aid. Cozby was on Look out Mountain. John Hill was my ggg-grandfather on my daddy's side married Mary Cozby(Cosby) Daughter Of James Cozby.

Would you please enlarge on Col Seivers charge of treason. John Seivers was one of my direct ancesters supposedly.
