Hi!

I recently found out that my gr-gr-gr-grandparents Thomas WALLACE & Esther "Hetty" HAGERTY were married in Rochfortbridge in Nov 1825. In the WALLACE family Bible her parents are listed as "Andrew HAGERTY" and "Ellen HAGERTY".

The other day while looking through Rochfortbridge records on Ancestry I found a marriage for Andrew HAGERTY & Sarah CADDLE in Rochfortbridge in Dec 1855. Could this be a nephew of my gr-gr-gr-grandmother? I would estimate he was born about 1830, so more than likely too young to be a brother.

Andrew & Sarah ("Sally") had the following children: Eliza b. 1857; James b. 1860; Mary b. 1862; Bridget b. 1864; Ellen b. 1866; Mary b. 1868; and Feresa (Teresa?) b. 1870. There were two other possible daughters whose father was listed as Andrew, but mother was listed at "Dorothy". They were: Kate b. 1858 & Sarah b. 1859. All of the children were baptized in Rochfortbridge Parish.

Would anyone know anything about this family? Thank you!

Did not find Rochfortebridge in place names for Griffith
Valuations but a Rochforteridge (this could be wrong?)
Rochforteridge was a Village in the Parish of Castlelost, and also a townland in same, the Poor Law Union was Mullingar.

Also Rochfort Demesne Townland was in the Parish of Moylisker, also PLU Mulligar. The PLU boundaries also used for the civil registration districts 1864+.

There were 7 Hagerty's in Westmeath in 1854 but no Andrew.
Most marriages took place in the bride's parish.
There are 8 Caddles, and a Thomas Caddle in the Parish of Castlelot, TL Drumman,Poor Law Union Mullingar,
the landlord is Rochfort, however, the property was in Chancery/Court Rochfort vs. Brown

If the families are Church of Ireland as the name Wallace suggests I have marriages 1845-1862 on CD but not for letter W (of course-its worn out). These came from the Latter Day Saints collection which is no longer available. Records from 1864+ you can find baptisms, marriages, deaths on

Since there are not a lot of any of the families very likely related.

There are 4 Caddle/Cadle in the telephone book but all Dublin. At least 4 Wallace from the Mullingar area, only 1 Hagerty/Haggerty but in Dublin.

This is a not for profit Foundation but does charge fee's.

Not much help but you could try writing to the Wallace's while you wait for someone to contact you via the message board, make sure you keep your email address up to date so if someone tries to contact you ancestry has a good email
address to alert you.
