I am looking for a birth certificate for my dad.  He was born in Sheridan, WY on or about Thansgiving of  1914.  I am going on facts I remember as a child.......he died in 1955 in Michigan.  I have a death certificate, but I want to see his birth certifcate. I would like to trace my ancestors across Europe.  The names of my dad's mom was Mary Pilch, and dad was Ludwig Wedzel.  Any information you  give me will be greatly appreciated.  If you can't explore this yourself, please give me the name of the county seat and address so I can try.

Hello from Poland,
My PILCH family roots in the Cieszynski region are from XVI century and we are still one of three biggest family here.
As I know lots of family members emigrated to USA in the end of XIX and begining of XX century. Mostly from Hamburg or Bremen o, vie Ellis Ireland.
I just started to look for some relatives which kept connected with Polish family.
Do you thing that it is possible your mother was from Poland - the name of town is usuelly known as Weischel as we were a part of austrian empire. From 1918 we are back to Poland.
Kind Regards
Anna Pilch-Szatanik
