In the last few days I have obtained information that I am also related to Johannes Hauenstein who emigrated from Switzerland and settled in Ohio, in 1833. I would also be interested in hearing about this book and whether it is available.

I'm also interested in hearing from 'new' relatives! My email is lhauenstn@aol.com, feel free to send a note.

Best regards, cousins!

Lee

Hello Sherry.

That's interesting... My Grand father was also named John Calvin Hauenstein, from Lima OH. Is it that this middle name was that common?

My John Calvin Hauenstein moved East, served as a minister in a few locales, mostly New York state. His last church was in Sand Lake, NY, but he had also served in Brunswick, NY (my dad, uncles, aunt call it White Church), and in Croton Falls, NY.

Best to you,

Lee Carleton Hauenstein
