I am currently looking for anyone who may have information on my Great Grandfather who was Michael Iversen, he is from Denmark and was born ?/12/1841 and pasted away in June 1925. He was married twice first Wife was Elsie (married 1875) they had 8 children and his second wife was Mary Elizabeth Maddox Married June 1893, they had 6 children one of them was my grandfather. I don't have much info. because I'm still searching. Micheal Iversen is my grama's father's father. If,of course,he is the one and the same. Soo, father- Micheal Iversen,son- Iver Henry Iversen married 1912 Erma Aileene Ferguson,daughter- Zelma Loraine Iversen (Oeth married name) my grama.She is one of 5 childern, 2 of them being bother's who die at pearl harbor.I'm trying to find Micheal Iversen's wife and a possible brother- Capt.Nels Iversen from Denmark came to Cal.in 1852. If you have any info. on the Capt. it would be greatly appreciated and if I find out more I'll do the same.

I just saw your message. My Great-grandfather was Michael Iversen. My grandmother was one of the 6 children you mentioned. Her name was Amy Evelyn Iversen Hunter. My mother was Amy's daughter, Eleanor Elizabeth Hunter East.
I have some information . Where I live there are many Iversen's all related. Please contact me ASAP

Hello... Yes Nels Iversen was the brother of Michael Iversen. Together they founded Point Arena California. My grandmother was the daughter of Michael. Her mother was Mary Elizabeth Maddox Iversen. aka Lizzie. What do you want to know??? If I can help you please do not hesitate.
If you want to find out information about the Captain you can read about him in the hhistory of Mendocino county.

Hello, You are not going to believe this, you are a relative to me and my family who lives in Mendocino county. My great grandfather had a brother name Nel's who owned his on shipping flieght in San Francisco he was the youngest to own them he was only 22 years old at the time. I can not believe this it is amazing! I have been searching for a long time and found out where Michael Iversen was born and when he was born, 4/25/1846 in Sellerupville, Denmark he past away 1/30/1920. Please reply mnmshansen@msn.com

Hello, as I have just posted a message to Annette, you are a realtive to me also. My Great Grandfather was Mchael Iversen and did have wife name Mary Maddox from Missouri. His brother Nel's owned a shipping flieght and was the youngest to this day to have his own shipping company he was only 22 years old. I just found this out from my father a couple of weeks ago. Michael was born in Sellerupville, Denmark on 4/25/1846 and past away on 1/30/1920 in Point Arena. This is so amazing to find this out. Please e-mail me mnmshansen@msn.com

Where do you live? My Uncle's my fathers brothers live on the Mendocino coast where I was born. So You should know my Uncle - 2nd cousin Wayne Iversen (real last name is Hunter) No one told me that Aunt Amy had a daughter. This is so great . My father now lives in Arizona and I live in Oregon.

Hi Karel, I'm Micheal's great, great grandaughter.Thank you for confirming that Nels was Micheal brother.My dad new only that he was related.I'd like to know if Micheal was a sailor to, confirm that Iver henry Iversen was from Micheal's first and not his second marriage and if you have info. on Micheal's and Nel's parents? Hello, I am Carla (Pope) Henson I am Amy (Iversen) Hunter's Great-Granddaughter. I have been reading this message board for the last few days and noticed the information you have. I called my mother and she told me that Michael Iversen was born in Denmark on April 12, 1841 and died in June of 1925. His wife was Mary Elizabeth Maddox . Nels Iversen was born January 31, 1876 and died Nov 10, 1937.
My great aunt was Lela May Duchaine born in 1884, and Died April 21, 1969. I have been looking for more information about my family. My mom doesn't have anything before Michael Iversen. But she does have more about the Maddox side.

Could you have your mom e-mail me with some more of the info . on Mary Maddox family . I am realted to them all . Michael (Mikel) Iversen was my Great Grandfather , my Grandfather was Walter Iversen. Your Grandfather Harold and I share our birthdays we use to eat ice cream together when I was very little around 3 years .
