I believe my painting is also the stone bridge. I have the same information regarding Reliable, in New Jersey, and the artists bio. My mother apparently purchased it in the 1950 with money she should have used for a washer and dryer. I have always been curious about the artist and the value of his work. Any information would be appreciated.

Two will be auctioned tomorrow. One is signed "Karger," the other is signed E.F. Karger, both from the same estate. NO survivors that I know of.
It sounds as if there are a lot of paintings with just a few titles. Some prolific artists aren't good.
Some enterprizing successes set up art mills where only their signatures were theirs, the rest being done by the sky man, the tree man, etc. Same with the Far East today.
Maybe good old E.F. had a couple of paintings people liked and he just painted them over and over, the classic starving artist. Since he had at least one numbered printing, it's a good sign they're worth something, even if he launched the printing himself. Earnst, is it?
-haven't seen these yet, but this auction house generally knows art when it shows up and advertises it to get the most interest and money.

i have a Painting by E.F. Karger. I was wondering how much value it has. On the front bottom of frame it has his name in brass i think...tells all about him on back..painting is of medow and a cabin trees one is sideways
