Looking for descendants of Jacob, Christopher, etc. My grandfather, Ray Lookabill, was the son of Thomas Lookabill. I had some correspondence many years ago with Harry Lookabill of Kansas City, but he has since died.

Hi Roger and Deb,
I am still trying to find Gary Lookabill. He had some old posts saying that he had pictures of Thomas Lookabill, as well as the family history that Harry (Bud) Lookabill put together. Would you know of anyone else who might have the work that Harry did?

I live in New Mexico, but this summer was able to spend an afternoon at the Glenwood library, and with their newspapers on microfilm I got copies of many of the obituaries I wanted, which gave me a lot of information.

Did Regina and Gene Hagglund have any children? Did Edgar have any children other than Gary? How about Ruth and Carl Scott, did they have children?

Yes, Deb, we have communicated before. Thanks for your listing, it helped me to fill in some of the blanks that I had. My grandfather Ray's parents, Thomas and Luella, were obviously first cousins and both died young. He and his brothers left Mills County when the parents died, but I met both Fred and Bo when they would come to visit Ray. I have a picture taken I think in the 1930s with Ray and, I think, some Lookabills, and would sure like someone to help me identify them.

What are the names of Achsa Blakesley's parents?
Roger, what is your relationship to the family?

Do you by any chance have a Pearl Lookabill in your tree? She married Ernest Glenn Pippitt and had a daughter, Dorthy Pearl on July 19, 1921 in Hoskins, NE. My grandfather was Ernest Pippitt and I recall him talking about Mills County Iowa. BTW do you happen to know Mack & Renate Taylor in Glenwood (he's the former sheriff)? They're good friends of ours.

Danna,
Sorry, no Pearl Lookabill in my records. A branch of the family did go to Keith County, NE. What county is Hoskins in? I have never lived in Glenwood so don't know anything about your friends the Taylors.
