I am also looking for information on the Wild West Show. In particular for any information on a William James who changed is last name to Buffalo. He was an Ottawa Indian from Michigan then later Wisconsin. We believe he was born in Arizonia so there is a question if he was Ottawa. His daughter is looking for any information on him.

Dear George: I hope you are still on this board for messages. I do not think I ever got a notice that my post was answered on this. I was just doing more research and searching messages for the Pinebird/Fullmer connection and found your post from 2004. I don't remember reading it before now. Are you still interested in corresponding? Have you been able to find any further information on the "Wild West Show"? Karen in NJ

hello there. i dont know if you're still checking on here for messages... but i'll just say what i know, anyway. Irene Fullmer is my great grandmother. We actually have a slide from the opening to one of their "western sketches" films and it has a picture of each of them and it says "Maneta Gohawk and Chief Pinebird in their 'Western Sketch'" Maneta Gohawk was Irene's stage name. I have a lot of information and there are a whole lot of people in Florida related to her. if you have any more questions, i'll try to help you with the answers? thanks!

Dear Rachel:
I wish I would have checked these messages sooner because your message has me very excited. Irene is my 1st cousin 2x removed. Her father's sister Caroline is my great grandmother and I have heard many stories about Irene. I understand there are a number of Bal relatives I have yet to make contact with. In fact I work with Maureen Ortega whose husband, Guilermo, is my 3rd cousin, and who's mother is Louise (Bal) Ortega. Do you have copies of the slide from the Western Sketch? I only have one picture of Irene, which I got from Geri Bal in Hawaii (I believe she has since moved to California) and which includes her husband Lionel. I'd be happy to send you the pictures I have. Would love to hear from another cousin! All my regards, Karen Moore in NJ
