Surnames: BAUBAU, BOBO
I am trying to find any additional information on Gabriel Baubau (Bobo) who was listed on a land patent for Robert Nash of St. Stephen's Parish, New Kent County, on 25 Oct. 1700. We believe Gabriel to be our original immigrant but can not find any information on when he arrived in VA. We believe him to be a Huguenot, but can find no association with the Huguenot colony at Manakintowne or on lists of other Huguenot immigrants.

A BOBO family reunion is planned in the late Summer or early Autumn of 1999 in Middle Tennessee with a dinner (lunch for Yankees) at Miss Mary BOBO's Boarding House in Lynchburg, TN.

A BOBO family reunion in Virginia, probably Manassas, to celebrate the 300th anniversary of our first BOBO (BAUBAU, BEAUBEAU) immigrant in the colonies.

A monthly "BOBO Roots-Cellar" for BOBO researchers. It is FREE to anyone with an Internet address. All one has to do is send a request to FamilyBOBO@aol.com and it is e-mailed each time it is published.

I, too, am related to Lewis & Sarah Solomon BOBO. I would like any info you have about Sarah Solomon. They had a daughter Jeaney (Virginia, Jenny) ) BOBO b. ca. 1768 lived in Cross Keys Union Co. S.C. Would like any info about the RAY family that lived near them. Jeaney married Mr. Ray. Her sister Nancy Bobo married Mr. Ray's brother, Joseph Ray. The Rays moved to Georgia where they owned a mill & a store. The town was named after them--Raysville, GA (near Thompson GA) I can document Joseph owning the mill but no mention of his brother. Mr. Ray & Jeaney had a daughter Ann (Anna) E. Bobo Ray b. 11 Feb 1802 (she could have gone by her mother's maiden name) in GA (possibly Raysville, GA. The Ray family lived near the Bobo family. Trying desperately to find my Mr. Ray

It has been four years, I trust you received yor reply? Robert Skelton married Elizabeth Bobo - I have traced Elizabeth to Near Rochelle France. Robert and Elizabeth had a son named Jonathan (one of ten) who had a son named John Odis who had a son named Samuel Green who had my grandfather Samuel David who had my father Samuel David skelton Jr. I think that Robert was given land in Georgia (Elbert County for his service inthe American Rev). Robert had a son, Solomon whose descendents commited a murder in Scottsboro Ala.
