Annie and Lafayette were married 1870 in Schenectady, NY. In 1880 found in Village of Kalamazoo. Annie received Lafayette's CIVIL WAR pension. They had two children: Kate and Deacon. I'm looking for any information about this family. Annie SLOCOMBE was adopted by a Dr. Alexander VEDDER from Schenectady, NY who owned property in Michigan and she inherited the property. I haven't been able to find any information about this property. Any help appreciated.

The daughter of Lafayette and Annie Mumford, Katie, is my great grand mother. We lived in the same house for several years during the depression. She died in 1951, when I was 20 years of age and I remember her very well.
