Surnames: REICHENBACH, MOOS, STEINER, HIRSCH
Hermann Reichenbach and Emilie Steiner and family emigrated to New Caledonia in the mid 1800s, where Hermann owned a nickle mine.
In a cemetery in Hohenems there are Reichenbach headstones and the previous family name of Moos, changed in 1813.
Some of these date back to mid 1700s.
It is thought that one son, Simon Reichenbach went to New York. Our line came to Australia via New Caledonia - Samuel Hermann Reichenbach family.

The immigration in New calédonia is not possible on 18th century but for this familly around the end of the 19th century.
Samule hermann Reichenbach take woman in new calédonia : Stilling Elizabeth Ellen (dite nelly)born in Nouméa on 15/01/1892.
