Surnames: LaCombe, Krause
I am looking for Friedrich W. LaCombe and his wife Charlotte Krause who emigrated to the United States from Alsace-Lorraine in the mid 1800's. Friedrich had been a captain in Napoleon's army according to the family story.

Friedrich LaCombe et Charlotte Krause, avec son fils Otto sont emigre a Les Etats Unis (premier a Chicago et ensuite a Minnesota. La famille sont dit que Friedrich etait un capitain dans l'armee de Napoleon.

Does any of this make sense? I haven't studied or used my French skills for over 25 years! Je regret mes erreurs.

Sarah De La Vergne is part of the family. I have very little information on her family line.
Was Jeremiah Howland a Dr.?
Have Sarah with 2 grandsons Nicholas Howland Jr., and Silas Howland. Nothing on her children.
Have Sarah born 1758-died Saratoga Co., NY.
My family line is Sarah (MOSHER) and Nicholas son of Nicholas.
Nicholas was Brother to Sarah De La Vergne.
De La Vergne named changed to Dillivan when family moved to Iowa due to census taker not being able to spell French name.
