He was born in Okney, the son of Patrick Moir Davidson and Anne Phipps Boileau in 1869. Had five sisters and then two half brothers and one half sister. His step mother was called Stainton.

The reason I am looking for info on him is that he married my mothers cousin in 1916 Norah Piercy in London, sadly she died two years later in the Spainish Flu in London. My mother is an only child and all the cousins are now dead.

I can find no mention of him after his marriage, no death, no travel. His father moved from Scotland and lived in Congleton, Cheshire and was a doctor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I am delighted to read your message about Thomas Patrick Moir Davidson. I am helping a close friend with her family tree & this gentleman was her half uncle. Her father was Richard Baring Davidson & a doctor in Congleton, half brother to Thomas.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.

Dear Jane,
Many many apologies for not replying sooner. Real life took over.
The Piercys 4 sisters and one brother were the first cousins of my mother an only child. None of her relatives are alive and she was terribly fond of the Percys and had heard about poor Nora who has died after 2 years of marriage in the Flu epidemic of 1918. Thomas Davidson, family rumour was an engineer who went to Africa ? Congo ? either before or after Noras death. We have a photo of a man with mustache sitting in front of a shed surrounded by black workers. Mum has always said that it came from the Piercys belongings and was thought to be Thomas. The Piercys never talked about Nora to mum. Indeed all 5 died without children and Nora from the Flu and Cyril in Canada from the effects of mustard gassing in the trenches in France. Any information however small from your friend about what happened to Thomas after Nora died or where they lived. What did he work. Where did he die and where is he buried. I will try and find the photo and could scan it and send it to you to see if your friend might recognise it. Would she have any photos from her fathers effects ?

Kind regards,
