Have been researching the Ballengee family since 1963. A cousin, James Isaac Ballengee from Colorado got me started. We published Ballengee Trails.
Recently I was reviewing the work and recalled that we had never known who Isaac Sr.'s wife was. She was listed as Jane or Jean. I have realized that she was the daughter of Lanty Graham. Isaac died first, then when Jane wrote her will, Lanty and his sons were the witnesses. Why would this be unless they were next of kin? Another interesting thing is that son Henry Ballengee's son James McMullen Ballengee named his first son Atlantus Graham Ballengee. The Graham researchers say that Lanty's full name was Lancelot. If this were so, why did they name the grandson Atlantus?
Would like to have some help on this project. You can see the outline of the Ballengee family at:http://members.cland.net/jmcclung
