Intertested in more information about Hermanus Brumbach & his wife Catherine (Marie Catherine) Potts of the Berks County PA area. I know of the source by Gaius Marcus Brumbach, MS,MD, Genealogy of the Brumbach Families, (1913 Higgins Book Company Salem Mass), Chapter (section G) pages 755-798 of Hermanus Brumbach. There is little mention of his wife and I would like to know if she is related to the Potts of Montgomtery County PA which is just down the road from Oley in Berks.
I am related through Hermanus's son George who married Elisabeth Koch(en).
A kind soul sent me a second source for Pott information and I wuold like to learn more. Following is the Baptismal Certificate of Mathias "Brombach."
"To these two married persons, Hermanus Brombach and his lawful wife (housewife by marriage), Catharine, a born Pattin (Pott or Potts) there was born into the world a son, named Matthias Brombach, in the year of our lord Jesus 1776 the 9 day of October; this Matthias was born and baptized in America, in the State of Pennsylvania, Berks County, Oley Township.
Matthias was baptized on the 6 December, 1776, by the Rev. Mr. Michael. Sponsors:Matthias Hoffer & wife Juliana.

Liz, or any other Brumbach researcher, do you know anything about EDWIN H. BRUMBACH, son of James D. Brumbach and Susannah [nee Herbein]? He was born 24 feb 1869. Married Mary Alice Griesemer. Had three children: M. EDNA & LLOYD EDWIN, TWINS, CHARLES LESTER, JACOB LEROY. Was postmaster at Pleasantville, Berks Co, PA. What I seek is his Death Date, and any descendents who can shed light on his name. Is it Edwin H. Brumbach or Edwin Irwin Brumbach? He seems to have left his place of birth, Oley, PA, for I find no estate records at the Court House. Thanks.

No Edwin BRUMBACH information but how about your GRIESEMER surname

Sorry to say I do not have anything on Edwin or James Brumbach. I do have a Griesemer connection in my lines... Arthur Griesmer married into my Garber line. He married Mary Garber/Gerber (no dates), daughter of Edwin H Garber (1865-March 1930) and his wife, Mary Ann H Schaeffer (Oct 1869-1938). Mary was the eldest daughter (I think) of 9 children with the rest born between 1886 & 1905 in the Oley/Pine Forge area of Berks County PA. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for posting. Liz

I'm descended from Hermanus also and want to find documentation on his birth, marriage and death, as well as his wife, and son David and wife Deborah De Turk .... I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who has located these sources, or who has any further information on these people.

Regards,
Anne
