I'm trying to get as much famous and infamous people into my database, besides all the 'normal' people and royalty.
And my main goal is to collect as many ancestors and descendants of Charlemagne. In a way it's a lot like collecting eg. stamps or coins - One just wants something in one's collection. I allmost have got all the US-presidents in my database and quite a few of them descent from Charlemagne. And since I'm a great fan of Star Trek I want the performing actors also in my database. Denise Crosby (Lt. Tasha Yar in Next Generation) is one of them and she was really easy because I knew she is the granddaughter of Bing Crosby. Just recently, by pure coincidence I found the data concerning Rene Auberjoine (Odo in DS9). You see, I just like to have Goering's data in my database (it consits of more than 609.000 persons today) nothing more. I don't intend to misuse the data I have.
I'm willing to share the info I've allready gathered about the ancestors of Herman Goering via gedcom, made with Paf5.2

I haven't been able to download the file. I'm trying to learn if my 3rd great grandfather Johann Hermann Goehring (Born 15 Dec 1814 in Preußen - Death 5 Oct 1865 in Cuero, De Witt, Texas, United States might be related to Hermann Goering. According to family folklore there is a connection. Johann immigrated to the US about 1847 entering at Corpus Christi Texas.

I believe I may be a descendant of Herman Goering. My dad, Ron Gorring is 1/2 German 1/2 Polish. His dad, my grandfather (died in the 60s) is Robert Gorring. My dad tells me that my name is the english version of a german name. Any way you could look into it for me? I have theories that my grandfather fled Germany (maybe) with a Polish woman during the invasion and came to America, where I live today
