Although Ludwig is not part of my line, I think that I can help you. According to the church record's of Quickel's Lutheran Church, Conewago Township, York County, Pennsylvania, Martin Weier, son of Ludwig and Maria Elisabeth Weier, was born on 3 April, 1788 and baptized on 6 April 1788. In the same church records they list the following baptism records for children of Martin and Catharine Weyer: Sara Weyer b. 19 Mar 1820 bpt. 30 Apr 1820, Cath. Weyer b. 25 Jun 1822 bpt. 20 Apr 1823 and Caroline Weyer b. 2 Jan 1824 bpt 29 Feb 1824. There are no other children listed in the available surviving church records. Virtually no other mention of Martin is found in the York County records except that on 13 June 1835, Martin Weyer, of Conewago Township, and Catherine his wife signed over her share of her father's estate to her brother Joshua Fetrow. Her father was listed as Phillip Fetrow. Martin's father in most research is referred to as Ludwig, Jr. because his parents were Ludwig Weyer and Anna Barbara Fink. Ludwig Sr. and my immigrant ancestor, Johannes Andreas Weyer both immigrated to York County from Germany around 1750. So far no one has established any connection between the two. They did originate from different parts of Germany. Ludwig Sr. is well documented and I can give you more on Ludwig Jr., including his Revolutionary War service, if you are interested. Ludwig Jr. also had a son Andreas born 1786, Ludwig born 1790, Michael born 1794, Samuel born 1797, Phillip born 1800 and Johan Adam born 1802. If you wish to discuss this more it would probably be easier to communicate with me directly at AJWEYER@aol.com
. I would be glad to assist you in any way possible. I hope that you find this useful.
