Surnames: Hagopian Dulgarian
I am at the end of my line. My great grandfather Jacob (Hagop) Hagopian, b. 4/1/1868 Armenia d. 8/2/1935 Southbend?, Indiana?, and his wife, Henrietta (Heripsime) Dulgarian, b. 3/21/1875 Armenia d. 3/1967 Southbend?, came here fleeing the Turkish. They had 9 children:

Charles
Mary
Hig (Haig)
Peroz
Jeruld
Virginia (My Grandmother)
Rosie
Daniel
Jack

I think my great-grandparents lived in the North-East U.S., but my grandmother's memory was failing when I started asking questions or when she thought to write down what she knew. I am looking for ANY information on the persons listed above. Please respond to this message if you have any.

What exactly are you trying to ascertain? The family is in the 1910 census in Chicago and the 1920, 1930 censuses in South Bend.

Still running off of free memberships and it makes it hard to get the certain reports and I have to find the free ones(haven't tried the census yet, just the social security death index). Thanks for the pointer, I'm VERY new to this and I barely find time to work on it.

There are several things I am looking for with concerns to my ancestry. I hope to find the dates for my great-grandparents arrival, and any of their ancestry if it can be found. It was rumored that my g-gfather came through Ellis Island at 18, but I couldn't find him in any of the records (thought I did it right and searched through his 30th b-day, did the same for g-gmother).

The location I listed was not definite because I hadn't sourced it yet but I included it because there are some very similarly named lines in California.

I am hoping to find a relative that might be able to shed some light on my questions. Last I heard my great-uncle Jack (whom I have never met) is still living, but his contact info and whereabouts have been lost due to two deaths in the family.

Any information or advice is appreciated, and any tips on how to do research without spending money would be great.
