I have an Abram McColloch born 17 May 1844 in this same area. He married Druscilla Ridgley Jacob born 5 March 1846
in the same area. From what I understand they are both either buried in the Short Creek Cemetary or not too far
from there. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am reading a book about the area and came across some mcculloch info for you. I got it on pg 17 of "That Dark and Bloody River" by Allan W. Eckert.

Samule and Rachel Mcculloch moved to Short Creek in 1770. Only one of the two daughter was with them, Nancy, the other daughter, Elizabeth, had already married Ebenezer Zane. There was four sons, Samuel, John, Abraham, and George. All the children were grown and when the parents became fearful of Indian attacks they moved back to the South Branch Potomac. The children stayed in Short Creek.

Hope this helps.

I'm afraid I have no information in direct response to your question. However, I am related to Mary Bukey who married John McColloch. (Her brother John is my 5GGrandfather.) I have quite a lot of information about the Bukey's, but I have been unable to learn much about John and Mary. Do you know where they died and are buried? I have some evidence that they moved from Short Creek to Albemarle Co., Virginia, and John may have died there in 1821.

Let me know if you are interested in more Bukey information.
