Trying to locate records for a John Kleer and wife Catherine from Germany 1854
John was born 1828 and Catherine 1824
Also

Philip Jones(probably with parents Oliver and Martha)from
Wales/England 1865
Philip was born Dec 1858

Dates and spellings could vary. I've tried the oline lists but can't quite figure them out enough to benefit my searching. Any help would be appreciated.

They came to the USA but I don't know what port.

Both families ended up in the Pittsburgh, Pa area.

Did you try the name "Klier"?? Kleer is not so german.
Catherine is in german "Katharina" or "Catharina". There
are many Klier in "Immigration & Travel".

I have a GG Grandmother Named Elizabeth Jones born about 1828. I believe she was born in England and came to America sometime in 1840's or 50s. I've been told she lived in Penn and moved to Zanesville, Ohio and Married George Edwards in 1854. I have never been able to figure out how they met. My grandfather come from England (Liverpool)in Oct of 1852.
My grandfather was on board a shop named States Rights. I have had no luck in finding her in any records other than marriage in 1854. George traveled to America with his brother William who married a Mary Jones. So could be 2 brothers married 2 sisters .
