some of my family were born and lived in middlesex. the family born in the 1750s were from maiden newton dorset uk and butleigh wells somerset uk.My great grandfather was married in brentford before going to india with the 13th lancers. he married maria crooks who died in india 1882. they were all hodges descent as i am. contact me on facebook as my server is acting up . gillian wilding

what a shame, as far as i know there are no connections. My grandfather x 4 was born in middlesex . Most of the family were born in maiden newton dorset, a few yards from where i now live. My family are scattered as i have found 2nd cousins all over the world inc. australie, new zealand and london. I am sorry i cannot add you to the list. i wish you good luck..... jilly

Hi, I have a Robert Hodges b1841 possibly in the UK not 100% sure... he had a son Robert Laurence Hodges who was born in Napier, New Zealand in 1878, and came to Australia when he was about 3 yrs old, after that I know. I was basically just wondering if anyone thought my Robert Hodges might be part of your clan....

My Hodges line originates in East London and spreads out mainly into West London and Middlesex, Essex, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Someone mentioned a Canfield (Shadwell, London), which I do have but no direct connection established to the Hodges line other than distantly via marriage.
