I am looking for information on any of the following families from Essex County, New York:

KALINCHAK (KALINCSAK)/ BAJZA:

Michael KALINCHAK - b. about 1877 in Hungary. Michael lived in Moriah, Essex County New York. Married to Julia BAZJA - b. about 1885 in Hungary, also lived in Essex County New York. Had the following children:

Harold KALINCHAK
Michael KALINCHAK
Joseph KALINCHAK
Helen KALINCHAK
Irene KALINCHAK

CROSSMAN / MANNING:

William CROSSMAN - b. 18 Mar 1870 in New York to Nathan Andrew CROSSMAN and Charlotte PEPPER. Had at least one brother, Charles. Married Minnie MANNING - little is known about her - she was born about July of 1882. This family lived in Ticonderoga, Essex County, New York.

I'm doing research for my brother-in-law, who is very excited to connect with family - would love to give him some great new info. Anything helps! Thanks so much -

Lisa

My relatives the Mannings are from Ticonderoga. Edward Manning lived in Ticonderoga and was born about 1879. In the 1880 Census, he is living in Ticonderoga with his Louise Manning, who is either his mom or aunt. She marries he uses both names subsequently and continues to live with them into his twenties. They are all listed as being born in Vermont, so I think your search might be directed there.

If the parents were born in Vermont, try searching the towns of Bridport & Addison. They are across the lake from Moriah and migratation between the towns was (and still is) common.
