I'm looking for decendents of William Benjamin Frayer, father of William Robert,Dora, John, James, & George. It is known that John lived in MIchigan and had a daughter Violet. It is also known that William Benjamin drowned when the children were young.Birth place not known. Birth date would probably be in the late 1830's to 1840's.

The George I have listed was the son of William Benjamin Frayer. He was born about 1878-1880 and his siblings
were William Robert, James, John, & Dora. George was the baby in the family. I have read all your submissions and I don't think we are connected. If you have any info that would be helpful it would be much appreciated. Thanks for your response.

Do you know who the parents of Stanley Frayer would be:

I am trying to confirm that Simon Frayer h/o Bashaba Delong is same Simon who married in 1874 my Rosann Dillen Thompson Trowbridge. Other than the 1871 Census, I have no records on Simon's children from his first marriage.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

the Benjamin Frayer I'm looking was probably born in the late 1830's early 1840'in Pennsylvania...I'm not sure if he was William Benjamin or Benjamin William...he was called Ben...he married Elizabeth Stephen who was born in Canada..they lived in Pennsylvania after they were married because their first Child, John Frayer was born there...I found him in the Michigan 1920 in Michigan with his daughter and her husband
Their children were John b.1861, Dora b.1863, William Robert b.1867, James B.1865, and George b.? possibly 1869-70

The Frayers who live along Lake Scugog and in Caesarea are apparently decendants of cousin's of my grandfather's family I have been in touch with Ian Frayer who still lives in that area and William Frayer who now lives in Beamsville Ontario. Ian sent me some pictures of his family and a picture of the family homestead, which is still there today and is occupied. It's now surrounded by other houses but the marina is still there. There is also a small family cemetery up on a hill just outside of the town.
I think I found my grandfather's sister Dora living with her grandparents Adam and Anne Frayer in Duanesburgh Schenetady NY in the US 1880 Census. Benjamin apparently drowned when the children were still young, the mother had a nervous breakdown and was instutionalized, the children were farmed out to whoever could take of them and the older children lived with relatives as workers. I think I found my grandfather living with relatives near Caesarea when he was 18. The youngest child George may have been adopted apparently. So far I haven't been able to find anything about him. There was a cousin William who served in the first Royal Mounted Police.Since there were cousins I assume that brothers of Benjamin must have lived in the area and he did marry a girl from Lindsay so he visited in the area. However they lived in Pennsylvania after they were married because John was born there according to the 1920 US Census
These people who lived in or near Lindsay are also cousins but not sure how...maybe through either Benjamin's wife or John's wife...Clyde and Mindham Platon and Dorothy Tuttle

Hi Carol...I haven't been able to find the 1920 US Census I found his son John Benjamin living in Michigan with his daughter and her the census it says his father was born in Pennsylvania but I haven't been able to find him...I did find the Benjamin born in Prince Edward County but I can't connect him to my family as of yet...I did go to Scugog...visited a Frayer family home from the early 1800's and spoke with a cousin from the area but he didn't have any more family info than I do...sometimes I think they landed in a space ship from somewhere in space...LOL
