I am looking for a family of Jandas who settled in Berwyn, Illinois around 1880 from Czech. Anton Janda was a stone mason/brick layer from Prague and married ? who's family originally came from Pilsen, Czech. Anton and his wife had Anna Barbara,Matilda, Mary, Frank, Charles, and Anton Janda Jr. Anna Barbara Janda b. 3-24-1885 or 6 married John Fred Anders 3-20-1909. Matilda Janda married ? Kadara and had Ed, Blanche, Billy, Erwin, Irene, and Adelia. Mary Janda married John Jeric or Jirak and lived in Cicero, Cook County, Illinois. John worked at the McCormick Deering Plant. Frank Janda lived over his Mother's house. Anton Jr. was a pattern maker for cloth (tailor) and had Woodrow and Mildred. All of the children were born in Berwyn. Would someone please contact me if you have any info on these people or family connections? Thank you ahead of time for your kindness. You may email me a Ckieser@avci.net

Hi, I am the great granddaughter of Jacob Janda, his father was also Jacob, mother's name unknown. They settled in Chicago after coming over from Bohemia. I have recently found that Jacob Sr. had a brother named John from Pilsen.John married Anna Title, they also settled in Chicago, Ill. They had 10 children, two of which are priests, Valerian John and Charles A. Janda. Valerian and Charles have a niece named Pauline Burton and a nephew named Rev. Adelbert Janda .Adelbert was born in Lisle Ill.I have also come across a Joseph Janda from Texas, I think they may be a connection with my family. Is any of this helpful with the Janda family you are searching?
