I have an original postcard photograph of “Walter Names”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Postcard was mailed July 17, 1911 from Rainier (Columbia Co.) OR, addressed to his aunt Nora Eby in Sparks, OK. Card carries a 1cent stamp, and is signed by Walter Names.

I found Walter in his WWI Draft Registration, with the exact same signature as on the card, living in Pottawatomie Co., OK. Census records show that he was son of David Names, in 1900 in Lincoln Co., OK – and Walter’s DOB is listed as March 1891 in OK. In 1910, he lived with brothers Roy and Elmer in Lincoln Co. In 1930, he lived Longview (Cowlitz Co.) WA, employed in a lumber mill. SSDI shows he was born Oklahoma City, and died in Crook Co., OR in Aug 1968.
