Just begining to research husbands family,
always looking for possible relatives! His
Grandfather was Walter Zakrzewski b. May 5,
1893 in Poland, d. Sept 1981 in Philadelphia,
Pa. Married 2 times, had a son & daughter with
his first wife (we know nothing about her or
the children.) Second wife was Sopie, b. April
21,1895, & d. Nov 1978 in Philadelphia. Would
love to hear from anyone who might have info
on the first wife & older children.

Would there be a connection in the Buffalo, Ny area. Did Walter have children named Thaddeus & Emily?

My g-g-g grandparents were Marcel Zakrzewski and Katharina Murzynski of Pusta Dabroka, Poland(Wrocki parish) They came to the UDA in January 1888 with their adult children John and Martin, along with their families. I am descended from their daughter Marianna who also arrived around that time with her husband Ignacy Swiatecki and their family. There were still some adult siblings in Poland. Marcel and Katharina both died in Toledo in 1897 and 1898 respectively, and are buried in Toledo.I have information on that line into the late 1700's onward.

I think your Marianna Zakrzewski who married Ignacy Swiatecki is the sister of my greatgrandfather Frank Zakrzewski.
Frank arrived in the US and settled in the Toledo area and had Rose,Mary,Ben,Harry,Lou,Alex,Florence and Martha. Igrew up in the Old West End of Toledo and the Swiatecki's lived right down the street from me.My grandmother and Aunt would visit with their cousins the Swiatecki's when they came to visit.

I made a mistake. My greatgrandfathers name was Paul Zakrzewski who married Francis Matuzak . They arrived in the Toledo area. My g g grandfather was Maciel Zakrzewski who married a Pawska.
