Your message sent me to searching my files for any possibility that the Robinsons might be related to my Benjamin Robinson whose father was named William but the birthdates don't correspond. They were born in the 1700's too, but not close enough. What I am interested in finding out is, "where is the Robinson Cemetery?" I have found Benjamin Robinson and his wife Mildred buried in Jessamine County. Hope you have the location of the Robinson Cemetery.
Hopefully,
Marilyn (direct descendant of Robinsons)

It's located on Old Danville Rd, Lancaster, Ky on Metcalf farm on top of a hill. There are several rocks standing upright to indicate several other plots but no names are on them. The cemetery is about 30' X 30'. It had a stone fence around it but has nearly disappeared. The stones that are marked are in very good readable shape but have broken and fallen over.

I'm not a researcher. I ran across the cemetery and posted it for anyone interested in the information.

Marilyn, Hope this helps! There is a cemetery in Grant County, Ky. by the name of Robinson Cemetery. It is on the Grant-Harrison Co. line on Stringtown Webber Road of Ky Route 36. My Mulligan family is also buried there. This cemetery dates back to 1759. Let me know if this helps, I have more info on some Robinsons.

Hi Shirley;
IThank you for replying to my inquiry re Robinson Cemetery. I know there is a wealth of information in and around Jessamine, Woodford, Fayette on the Robinsons. They were some of the earliest Kentucky settlers from Va. So far, in my research, I have tried to stick to direct ancestors. Although I have information on many brothers and sisters. It was my original goal to try to get the line back to England, but I just got stuck trying to place dear old Benjamin Robinson, whose birthplace was Spotsylvania, VA. I haven't given up trying as I know there is a key somewhere.
If you have any Robinson information earlier than 1800, I would very much like to learn of it. Mainly on Benjamin Robinson who married Mildred Ellis in Spotsylvania, VA and then they both went to Jessamine, KY. Thanks again for your reply. Have a Happy New Year for 2002.
Marilyn

Hi! I do not know if you are related to my "Robinson" family or not. I came from Sarah Jane Robinson who married William Zion Shoemaker and she died Oct. 1, 1931 and is burried in the "Allen" Graveyard in Lincoln County, near Crab Orchard, Kentucky. However, there are also Robinsons buried in Wolfe County (maybe Haddix Grqaveyard). In May of this year, I will be going to several graveyards seraching for ancestors. Robinson is one of them. Contact me and give to me the full names and birth and death year (or approximate) and I will get back with you in May after I finish my trip.

Also, do you have a "Patrick Robinson" in your history? I am having a problem tracking Sarah Jane Robinson's ancestory.

Respectfully, Barbara Franklin

My line of Robinson's migrated to Wolfe County< Kentucky and then some went to Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky. (Sarah Jane Robinson married to William Zion Shoemaker). She died Oct. 1, 1931 and is buried in the Allan graveyard in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky and I understand it is very difficult to find. I am going to Kentucky in May and will post names of "Robinsons" I find, even if they are not related to me.
Respectfully, Barbara
