I have obtained these records from other people and do not have the sources of them. My husbands family descends from John Milton Havins(James Lacy's son) and here are the records I have back as far as early 1700's. Please reply with any other you may have.
John Milton ‘s father was James Lacy Havins (b) 5 Feb 1845 in Hood Co. TX (d) 26 June 1941 in Austin, TX. His mother was Laura Ann Ingley (m) 27 June 1865.
James Lacy’s father was David Hamilton Havins (b)18 Mar 1819 or 1822 in AL or TN (d) 1879 in Copers Cove, Coreyville Co. TX his mother was Delilah Jane Lacy. (this line goes further)
David’s father was Thomas Havins (b) 7 Mar 1793 in Jefferson Co TN (d) 22 Apr 1883, his mother was Abigail Purdon. ( This line goes further)
Thomas’ father was James Havins (b) 1770 in Pittsburg, PA (d) 1822 in Lawrence Co, Alabama. His mother was Sarah Miller.
James father was John Havins Jr.(b) 1730 in England (d) 1782 in Montgomery Co VA. His mother was Mary Henderson.
John’s father was John Havins Sr. (b) in England in the early 1700’s and his mother’s name is unknown.
i too am a havins in the same family tree as you are decended from john havins sr.silas miller havins was my great great grand father by the way john havins sr. was married to elizabeth fettyplace i have most of the information on the havins family from there down and should be getting more info on yhe younger generation

Who know how or if we are related. There are many Havins' in Texas. As a matter of fact there is a Havins' reunion this June where over 250 people are expected. I will enclose my husbands Havins line here beginning with him and going to England. Pleas let me know if the names coincide with yours.

My husband Dale is the oldest son of Robert Loyd and Earnestine Havins, Loyd's father was John Milton Havins, his father James Lacy, on to David Hamilton Havins, and then his father was Thomas and his mother was Abigail Purdom Thomas parents were James and Sarah and his parents were John Havins Jr and Mary Henderson.
