Menomonie school for immigrants?

I just received the translation of my g-grandfather's diary and it shows he payed for school May-Oct in 1894. He was in Menomonie at the time and had JUST come from Norway. Does anyone know of a school an immigrant may have attended in 1894 in Menomonie? (He went on to Colorado to own his own shoemaking business.)

Thanks, Debi

I couldn't help with schools that a Norwegian immigrant would have attended, especially if you're talking about the city/town of Menomonie rather than the township (of which I might have a better idea). At any rate, if you're looking for records from that period, you might try the church records on microfilm at the FHC (with copies at Stout). If he was old enough to have been confirmed in Menomonie, he's probably in one of the registers.
