I am looking for any information or possible siblings/parents for
Antonio Campanella
b. 1863 supposedly on the family olive oil farm in sicily.
m. abt 1897 also in Sicily/Italy to Lillian "Leah" Capelli
Child #1 Benjamin Campanella b. October 12, 1898 probably in Sicily)
Supposedly his family gave the farm to cousins and left for America because they expected to lose their land when Italy because socialist.
Immigranted to USA in 1891
In 1892 Leah immigrant with her brother Peter and their mother whose name is not known.

At some point the family bought a farm in Hammonton NJ where they attended St. Joseph's Church.

Child # 6 Jennie b 1907, d. 1909 burried with parents
Child # 7 Catherine b. abt 1911
Child # 8 Anthony "Young Stutz" b. December 24, 1915
d. 1923

Also,
Antonio was naturalized in 1911 and Leah was naturalized in 1918.

I would really like to hear from anyone related to this family as I am trying to fill out Antonio and Leah's Descendants.

My Grandmother was Antonia Capelli, she was born in hammonton in 1915 and she was one of about 16 children, some half siblings when her father died and her mother remarried, her great grandfather was Antonio Capelli who lived on Vine Street, he was a member of Our Lady of Mount Caramel. I don't know if that will help but I figured if anyone had any information further that would be interesting. I believe that her father's name was John but im not certain, I do have an uncle Salvi who passed (he's a great uncle) and there's many more...

My Mother is Antonia Capelli whose Aunt was Leah. Fathers name Antonio (Anthony) Died 1926. Sisters Kathryn Leah & Francis.

My grandmother Adelaide was a Campanella and her mother was a Persico. I know the family was from Hammonton and use to do Blueberries years ago. Also, my great-grandfather started the Our Lady of Mt Carmel event on July 16th. It would be great to hear from you and compare notes. I do remember an Aunt Jennie

I am a Campanella, but we spell it Ciampanella. You mentioned a Benjamin Campanella, born in 1898, whose father was Antonio. Do you have any further information on him? My grandfather's name was Benjamin and I have not been able to find anything on him. I was told he became a naturalized citizen; still no record. I would be so thankful for any data you can provide me.

There was a Bulletin of Labor Statistics article written by Emily Fogg Meade, mother of famous sociologist Margaret Meade, in 1907 that details the arrival of several Campanellas and a Capelli (a cousin) to Hammonton in the 1870-1890 time frame.
