Trying to trace my farther's side of the family for genealogy. Any information on any Mcgeehans of Co. Tyrone area or elswhere would be helpful.

Strabane/McGeehan

My Great grandmother, MaryAnn McGeehan (her son)my Grandfather and grandmother came from Bearney Strabane, Co. Tyrone. We are unable to locate any info. about the McGeehan's there? Came to Maine in ?1914ish. Hopefully you will be able to provide more infor.Maybe you can provide more.

My grandparents were Hugh Mcgeehan-d.1956
and matilda Mcgeehan-d.1970 both in Strabane.
I am trying to locate more information on my fathers side of the family for genealogy.
I was unaware of any of his family emergrating to USA but it is an interesting possibility. I will post any more info if and when i find it.

i know that my x-husband,father was related,to hugh mcgeehan.from tamaqua,penna.there is a cemetary over that way they are all buried.my x husband is john patrick the third.his father is still alive.and has many interesting stories about the mcgeehan`s from the coal regions.my daughters great grand parents own mcgeehan`s cafe in coaldale.great grandmother`s name was rose mcgeehan.i hope this can help you!
