I am looking for information on Jacob Rosier b. abt. 1785, d. abt. 1828, married to Sarah unknown. Children of Jacob and Sarah Rosier were John, Jacob, and Catherine (all born around 1808-1811. We are both looking for the same information. I had guessed that Jacob was the son of Johannes Roser b. 1750 Germany Sp. Elizabeth Heltzel.
Jacob Roser Sp. Sarah (from your info) had these children: John (from your info), Jacob Elmer Rosier Sp. Margaret Paules m. 1864 (she was Sp.#3 for Abijah Rosier, probably Jacob Elmer's brother), Cathrine Roser b. 1811 Sp. Frederick Geiselman Jr., Possibly Abijah Rosier b.1805 Sp.#1Mary Morris Sp.#2 Dorcus Williams Sp.#3 Margarget Paules (he had many children). Other possible Children of Johannes are: John Rosier b. 1782 or1785 Pa. Sp. Mary Ann (unknown), and Francis Roser. Kenneth L. Roser at kroser@msn.com I think has the answers. Lawrence

I am descended from Adam Roser who arrived in the US in 1753. My Roser family first lives in York Co, PA, then moves to Wabash, IN then to Auglaise + Allen Co OH. My family can trace back past Adam Roser to Rosers in the late 1600's living in Germany, although all we have are names, not info.

If anyone has any more information, including coat of arms, motto, even pictures, military records, etc, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Shawn

I'm from the same Adam Roser lineage and have managed to come up with very sketchy information going as far back as Mathis Roser in the early 1600's.

There's info scattered all over the web about our family, but you have to really read it since our ancestors were in the habit of naming their children the same thing over and over again... just to be sure you got the right person.

At any rate, it's been suggested to me that our family may have originated in France and only migrated to Germany in order to leave Europe and come to the states. It seems reasonable enough to check into it at any rate.

Shawn, I think we are related. I'm looking for Barbara Anna Roser. Her father was Adam Roser. Barbara was born in Germany in 1745 and died in Westmoreland PA. She married Valentine Amsbaugh and had 13 children:Valentine 2, Cathrina Kitty, Chistina, Anna Susanna, Johann Adam, Adam Johann, Elizabeth, Barbara, George, John Henry, John, George (2), Eva. I know 2 of these children died as babies. They all lived in PA then moved to Richland Co. OH. Do you have any info on Barbara or her father Adam?
Thanks, Jess
