I sent you an e-mail last night in response to your message on The Photography Topic Message Board. Anxious to hear from you so decided to leave the same message here with a few corrections. I have a booklet that Noble had printed telling a little of himself and his wife. He was born 7-12-1869 and his father is G. R. Winner. After searching today, I thing the name is Giles.
Mary Jane is my Great Aunt who was born 2-3-1878 in Letonia, Ohio. She and her sister, my paternal grandmother, Barbara Ellen, were farmed out to family friends in Mason, Michigan in 1881 when their mother, Rachel Kenney Gongaware, died. Major Noble George Washington Winner was traveling with Ringling Bros. circus (mentioned in his booklet that I have) and was in Jackson, Michigan when he announced that he was interested in getting married. Someone in the audience told him that she knew of a "little" lady in Mason, Michigan. They met, had a short courtship and they married in Mason, Michigan at their Opra House. Mary was 18 and Noble was 25. They lived in Monticello, Iowa following their marriage. I am not sending the complete e-mail message trusting that you have received it. Where are you and where did you obtain the information that Noble had a popcorn stand at the Jones County Fairs? It is so great to find you and to know that you have a picture of Mary and Noble. I will be glad to share with you all of the information that I have on my Great Aunt and her husband. Please contact me via e-mail ASAP.
Thank you. Joyce Henry email@example.com
