Hello,

I am completing my Faber book. Most of the Fabers you have are in there. They are descedants of Johann Georg Faber(1800-1850) and his wife Maria Roos (1788-1840). He immigrated with his children in 1847 settling in town of Jackson. I have his parents and her parents also. They came from Pferdsfeld, Rheinland-Pfalz ( no longer exists was razed in 1979 to make way for an air base). The civil records are now part of the Winterborn records in Bad Kreuznach. I have the birth record of my g.g.grandmother Anna Elizabeth Faber who married Christopher Herman in town of Jackson in 1852 and the death record for Maria Roos and the marriage record for Johann Georg Faber and Maria Roos.
From which of the Fabers are you descended from?

Hello,
I did not find that any of the Roos name came from the Faber family to America. But that is not to say that some did not. That is a popular name in that area. There could have been cousins that came. Maria Roos Faber died in Pfersfeld in 1840. She was married previously according to the marriage certificate, but the German Rheinland-Pfalz script is hard to read from that time frame. It does not mention the two previous children's name. Her father was Eberhard Roos.

Do you have anything on the Roos line? My aunt married a Phillip Roos Jr in Washington County in 1947 - and she did not know any of his family but his parents Philip Roos Sr (b.1899) and Jenny Schwartzman Roos.

Hello,
I checked my records but could not find that particular name. There were at least 4 Henry Faber s in Washingotn Cty at this time. They all seem to come from the Pferdsfeld and Auen area of the Hunsrueck. Perhaps he was a descendent of Phillip Faber.

I will keep checking.
