In Wertheim, Germany, along the Rhine, I transcribed a plaque at an old Jewish cemetery in Oct. 2004 with 35 names of local victims - with maiden names and birth dates in most cases. Anyone interested should email me directly and I will send the transcription (in German) in text format.

Nice of you to call attention to Wertheim's ancient cemetery etc., that the city now claims may be as old as the one in Prague, Europe's currently claimed oldest....

However, Wertheim is along the Main River, not "...along the Rhine...", as you stated. I was born in Wertheim, and I, along with other mischievous children, often "stole" the logging rafts moored next to a tavern, while the raftsmen drank beer, and steered them downriver on the Main till they made land, then jumped off and disappeared!
