While doing my research in 1997 I came across some papers by Williams from Woody Island. It contain some family informaiton. You can find it at Memorial University of Newfoundland Folklord department. Fourth floor of the Hickman (Education) Building.

but a Charles married Elizabeth Patten on 11 Jul 1859 in
Grand Bank.
