Hi Carron:

Thanks for your reply. My link is JOHN LAWSON BUNTEN, your PETER BROWN BUNTEN's brother. I have some info on JOHN's wife, and I know that he lived in New Zealand for awhile, although I am not sure why he moved there. He was married to MARGARET EDITH AITKEN in 1866 in Melbourne, Australia and they had one child, CHARLES SIDNEY AITKEN BUNTEN, who was born in Australia. MARGARET & CHARLES ended up back in Scotland (Margaret was born in Glasgow), living with her mother in the 1881 Cencus. However, there is no mention of JOHN LAWSON BUNTEN, so I am assuming that he had died by then.

Do you have any information on your BUNTEN ancestors? I would love to see it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

You know, I have Buntens in my family history William Bunten I, II and III #2 married Mary Ronald. Wm. Bunten III was born in Johnstone, Scotland I have some dates, does any of this seem to connect with anybody? Also they seemed to be in Paisley and Wm. and his mother Mary (widowed) sailed to America from Liverpool. I would like to hear from any relatives.

Hi Dean was interested to see that you are a Thomson and that you have connections through the Buntens. My Grandfather was named James Thomson Bunten as am I. He was originally from Banockburn but moved down to Auchinleck and worked in the various pits in the Ayrshire area. I'll look out for any more postings.
Cheers James Bunten.
