Lavinia LeQuire, the daughter of John LeQuire, married William Thomas Mayhew on May 11, 1797 in Rutherford Co., NC.
Their daughter, also named Lavinia, married Lawson Alexander, son of Abram Alexander, on Sept 24, 1826, in Rutherford Co., NC. The 1850 US Census shows that Lawson and Lavinia Alexander and their 10 children were living by then in Jennings County, Indiana. Their son, William Alexander, my gr-gr-gr-grandfather left Indiana as a young man and settled in Jefferson Co., Alabama. He served in the Confederacy and became a large landowner before his death around 1900. Atleast one of his brothers also came to Alabama later, but I have not been able to find any information regarding the rest of his family who apparently remained in Jennings Co., Indiana or moved on elsewhere later ...

Hi Anita, I would certainly be interested on what you and Dee have found out. I don't know much at all on the Fagan's. Dee has been doing most of the work on that line. I have been trying to trace my father's line. Please feel free to contact me anytime. My email is Nahne@core.com. Have a good day!

My grandfathers brother James Fagan died in Trussville Alabama in March of 1975. He was born to John Fagan and Mary Ann Campbell Fagan in Lancashire, England May 13, 1892. Do you have any thing on this Fagan? Who was he married to?
