I am looking for info on John C Falls who
married Elizabeth Ferguson (B.1788). His parents
were John Falls and Rachel Clayton. John C
Falls had a daughter named Mary (Polly) Falls.

If you are descended from John C. Falls, we are related. His daughter, Mary (Polly) Falls, married Robert Miller Farris about 1826. They had seven children, one of which, John Clayton Farris, was my great-grandfather. We have the Farris line traced back as far as 1679 in Ireland. I don't know whether that information pertains to you but we have it if you need it.

As far as John C. Falls goes, I don't have much more than you. In fact I didn't his middle initial was "C" until I saw your posting. Probably stands for Clayton, I would guess. Anyhow, here is what I have.
John Falls, Jr., b. 1784, d, April 15, 1837, m. Elizabeth Furgeson, b. Dec. 2 1788, d. Jan. 30 1870. She was the daughter of Thomas Furgeson and Sarah McDowell. John was the son of John Falls, Sr., b. 1744, and Rachel Clayton Falls, daughter of George Clayton, do not know her mother's name.
I do not know the birth date of Mary (Polly) Falls, daughter of John and Elizabeth, but she died in 1864 in a South Carolina mental institution. She married Robert Miller Farris, (b. July 15, 1804, d. March 23, 1883) about 1826. They had seven children: Eliza Jane, b. Sept. 11, 1827, d. Nov. 21, 1897; Betsy, b. Jan. 30, 1836, d. Sept. 9, 1916; John Clayton Farris, b. June 26, 1837, d. July 25, 1916 in Baxter Co., Ark.; Sarah Ann, b. April 22, 1842, d. Dec. 21, 1919; Nancy, DOB and DOD, unknown; and Moses P., DOB is doubtfully given as 1937, d. July 25, 1916.

I am researching the Falls line and am descended
through John Falls and Rachel Clayton.
The information I have on Rachel's parents is her
father George was born in Brunswick Co. Virginia
and married Sarah Dodson abt 1744 in King and Queen
Co. Virginia. George died in Rowan Co. NC in 1786.

Thanks for the info! I've learned more about my Falls line in the last 24 hours than anyone in the family has learned in 50 years. Seems to have been a lot of activity on this site concerning the Falls'line, enough to start a website. You wouldn't happen to know the names of John and Rachel's children or siblings? Sorry to not reply right away, but my son was trying to
clean the hard drive and lost a memory chip so the computer
has been in the shop.
I recieved quite a bit of information on the Falls from a
called Cleveland County history. There are two Cleveland Co.
history books I looked at and unfortunately didn't write the
ref # on one, but the other one was 975.6782 H2L at the FHC
in SLC. Also I have a History of the Falls family I ordered
from Persi. I have about lots of files on Falls and I would
be happy to look through them and send you some stuff that may
be helpful. My email address is dianahope1@yahoo.com. I would
be happy to copy and mail you this stuff if you send me your
address. I have Rachel and Johns children and his other wives and
their children from these books mentioned and I will email it to
you and I am trying to learn how to download from my computer
program into my email. My son is helping me. Give me a few days.

I had thought for many years that this line was a dead end, and am very excited to know that info is availabe. I really appreciate your help. Are you connected to the Farris line?
