Hello, I find it unique that you are a HardIster/Bailey, as I am one too....before I married.
My mother was a Hardister before she married my dad, who is a Bailey. We are from Arkansas - now living in Texas
My maternal grandparents were: James Buckner Hardister and Eunice Bridges. My maternal great, grandfather was Street Hardister and his father was Asbury, Hardister. I have forgotten who their wives were. My mom has the info. I'll have to get it from her. They were all from Raydell, Arkansas (South Ark.) My uncle, Graydon Hardister knows quite a bit about the Hardisters and there is a Larry Hardister in Tennessee that has done quite a bit of research. He has the name going like all the way back to the entrance into the Carolinas.
My paternal grandparents were: James Wallin Bailey and Dorothy Jean Nobles..from Star City, Ark,(which is Southeast, Ark.) My g.grandparents were James William Bailey and Lettie Mathews...from Star City, Ark., and his parents were Boldin Green Bailey and Nancy Tidwell, from Star City. However, Boldin Green Bailey was born in Alabama and at some point moved to Ark. He married at the age of 19 in Ark.
E-mail me back how you are connected to the Bailey's and Hardisters. I would be quite interested in knowing the relationship.
