Searching for information on GG Grandmother. Her name: Arabella Meek(s).

She was married to James R. Tate and they resided in San Antonio TX. She passed away 10/5/1950.

James and Arabella had 12 children (Clinton Joseph, Terrel, Lester, Morris, Ralph, Gordon, Mispa, Zoe, James Ruth, Corradine, Gerald Meek, Billy Ray). Any information on her nationality, birth date, parents/siblings etc. would be appreciated.

Maybe we are related? You can email me if you would like:

I too am related to Arabelle Meek. Her father if my gg grandfather, Jacob Clinton Meek. I am however related directly to her sister, Cora Helen Meek. I have quite a bit of Meek information as does JoAnn Null who lives near Devine, Tx. Her email address is :

If you would like me to email you a gedcom file on the Meeks that I have I would be happy to.

Any additional information you have on the Tate line would be nice to have too.

Hi Cousin Joan! Jacob Clinton Meek was my gggg grandfather. JoAnn Null has sent me information about some of the Meeks but I would love to get more. She has some info back to Jacob Meek and Elizabeth Blevins. And she has Cora's children listed (Mabel, Emma, Carroll, Ada, Illa, and Georgia). I can take a gedcom file. I use Family Tree Maker Version 7 so I can take their files too. I can send you a gedcom file of the Tate branch if you want. I have input all of JoAnn's info plus more. My gg grandfather, Joseph Clinton Tate, moved back to Tennessee and the majority of his descendents are in Missouri, Tennessee, a couple in GA and a couple in DE. Where is your side of the family located? You can email me at I look forward to hearing back from you.

It is always so exciting to meet new cousins. I will send you a gedcom file to your email. I think all of my line must have ended up in Texas. At lease the direct line.

Thanks you in advance. Am looking forward to anything you have.

You can write me direct @

Good searching.

Hello, cousin!!! my ggg grandfather was Moses Meek, which research shows to be the son of Jeremiah Meek and Elizabeth Blevins. We are many in number. I don't have a complete file with all these family members on it, but would love to have what you've got. See my message on this Meek message board to William Potteet, a Meek descendant.

Dorothy, did you get my e-mail? I kept getting a message that it was not going thru. My provider has been upgrading and things are kind of messed up.

Hi Dorothy:
I have to apologize for not getting back to you. I would love to send you a gedcom file of what I have. I don't think I have sent it to you yet. Sometimes I get confused about who I have sent what to. Get back to me with your email address and I will pop it to you quickly. JoAnn Null has been really helpful to me too. Isn't the "net" wonderful!!!

Hi....I know this is an old query, but I'm just going thru some old stuff. Moses Meek, killed by Indians in 1852 in Bell Co. Texas, next door to Milam Tex, where he lived in 1850, was my g.g.g grandfather. Who is Arabella? And do you have the children and siblings of Jacob Clinton Meek? He was in Milam Co. in 1850, right? You may E-mail me at It is easier to correspond that way. Do you know of Rhoda, Moses' daughter?
