Surnames: MacKenzie Mitchell
My grandfather Alexander MacKenzie (died 1951) and greatgrandfather Alexander Mitchell (died 1918) were publicans at this pub and I am struggling to find who had it before and after so any help gratefully received, thanks

If you go to the Historical Directories site http://www.historicaldirectories.org/hd/ you can search the relevant directories for the area which should give the name of the publican.

Well I hope it is of some use!

Ancestry also have directories and telephone books which might be newer.

Another resource might be the 19C newspapers - pay-per-view at http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/ (but free search) or free on the online/virtual section of your home library website (if you are in the UK?)

The other F!
