Has anyone any information about a Helena Klas born in 1847 in Germany, brought to US by parents when 4 yrs. old, and Herman Hoelsken (Holsken) who came by himself when 17 yrs.old, born in Germany near Essen in 1843. Where did they come to in WI, where were they married and when. They lived in Burlington, WI, in 1870, then moved to south side of Milwaukee. Can't find any record of where they originally were. Daughter, Rosalie Matilda Hoelsken Koelsch my grandmother.

For anyone returning to this research, there are Hoelsken family notices, and at least one obit., for Herman, Helena, Edward, and an Alfred indexed in the resource called "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
