Also, one of my ancestors Ellen Callaghan, D/O Denis and Ellen married a Powers. (or Power) I believe his name was Thomas too.

According to the book Peter Robinson's Settlers 1823 & 1825 by Carol Bennett, Denis Driscoll and his family sailed to Canada on the ship Brunswick from Cape Clear, Co. Cork Ireland as part of the 1825 Peter Robinson group. He was a 43 year old fisherman and arrived with his wife Mary (40) and their six children: Cornelius (20), Mary (18), Murtough (15), Denis (7), John (5) and Margaret (1). Denis, Mary and the younger children settled at S lot 11, con 8, Ennismore Twp. His son Cornelius was given N lot 7, con 7. The Driscolls are mentioned on pages 73-74 of this book. Hope this helps.

in looking at my wifes family tree it is possible that cornelius
could have married ann mckay whose first child was amelia born 1839 sandwich east and married zeb robinson eventually after cornelius death the children retuned to lindsay where ann pased away.ellen driscoll married nicholas burke from lindsay
