Classification: Query
Surnames: Bowe, Nundahl, Ekum, Allness
I have information on the Claus Bowe family of Franklin Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin, on my website:

http://geneastory.com/genealogy/

Claus Bowe (Americanized from Bøe) and his family came to the Viroqua area from Hafslo, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway, in 1867. His sons never married and his daughters married into the Nundahl, Ekum, and Allness families.

If you have additional information on this family, I would like to hear from you.

I have added your line at the Bowes (and variants) One-Name Study website. We had only known of Irish and English origins (maybe also German) for the name Bowe, so I was intrigued to learn of a Norwegian one! I added to http://www.bowesonenamestudy.com/findings_2/origins/norwegia... . Also to http://www.bowesonenamestudy.com/findings_2/origins/immigran...

Would love to have you in our DNA project to compare markers with those from England and Ireland having Scandinavian DNA http://www.bowesonenamestudy.com/dna_project_pages/ Could also help you turn up matches to further your research.
