15 Sep 1743, John Luke was granted 400 acres of land in the Welch Tract of Marlborough, SC. He with his wife and 6 children had come from Philadelphia and petitioned for the land. Looking for any info on this John Luke and 6 children. Suspect that Daniel M. Luke who moved down to Irwin Co, GA was one of his sons. Any help out there.

I do not know. My grand uncle married a Denson and lived in MS. I can only get back to Wm. Luke born c. 1815 in SC. Have not seen any of your names listed on their records.

I believe that Daniel M. Luke who moved to Georgia was related to John Luke who was granted land on the Welsh Tract in SC. However, Daniel could not have been John's son. Daniel was born in abt 1778. I believe that Daniel's line may have possibly been William, Joseph, and then John. Do you have more info on John? Do you descend from this line? It would be nice to have confirmation. Thanks,
Phil Luke
