Surnames: Vandandaigue-Gadbois, Lussier
I am looking for any info regarding the children of Claude Vandandaique-Gadbois who married Adelaide Lussier 11 Aug 1829, Ste Denis, St Hyacinthe, Quebec. Did they have more than two sons? I am also looking for Janvier Gadbois who married Alida Dudevoir and according to my info lists the above parents. The timeline I between Gadbois, Lussier seems very short to the generation of Albert Gadbois, born 26 Sept 1864, Compton, Quebec, and married to Eva P. Frappier born 1865 Compton Quebec, later moving to New Hampshire. This was my great grandfather and any help would be appreciated.

I realize this is a very old message, but I am replying in case you are still active. I am interested in Janvier Gadbois and Alida Dudevoir. In April 1866, they were godparents at the baptism of Mary Eulalie Dudevoir, the daughter of Narcisse Dudevoir and Mary Honora Broderick. Do you happen to know anything about Narcisse? How was he related to Alida? Were they brother and sister? The age difference seems to great. Janiver died in August 1866, right after acting as godfather. He was 26 years old.

Thank you Yvette for your very helpful information and source notation re the Vandandaigue and Gadbois family members. I did have some information but not all. Also some of my new information was from copies of the original Church records which are written in the old French style. Unfortunately, I don't speak French so it takes a very long time to try and translate.
Also, you do have the correct birth date for Albert.

I really appreciate the time you spent helping with this research.

Hi Carol,

The date of birth of Albert Gasbois is 12 august 1865 in Compton, Qc and
the date of his baptism is 20 august 1865 in Compto, Qc.
I am not related to this family but I had the opportunity to help you in your research with my access online to BMS2000 and also with ancestry.ca
I am French Canadian speaking living in Quebec province so I can help you if you need translation of Church records from Quebec churches.
Once I had subscribed to ancestry.com to get info on my search about Leclair/Morisseau family who was living in Winchendon, Mass. in 1850's but beside US census I did not find anything. I thought I could get some mariages, birth and obituaries notices from newspaper archives the Sentinelle Fitchburg. But Ancestry.com did not give access. So I cancelled the subscription and keep only Ancestry.ca
and BMS2000. I go to the Genealogy Societe for the other kind of records
I will be glad to help you.
Yvette

Thank you for your translation offer. It is really appreciated.
Hopefully, I may also help with your research. I have researched the Morisseau line since about 1997 and have a lot of information. Remember when they said computers were going to cut out the paper trail.....
Could you please e-mail me at happydaze3965@gmail.com
